TERMS OF REFERENCE – DATA ARCHITECT The Data Architect will play a critical role in shaping the data and analytics architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives and leading in the implementation of initiatives related to Data. Key Responsibilities:
Architect data solutions ensuring that data solutions are built for performance, fault tolerance and security with reusable patterns. Propose data security measures and techniques and guide on their implementation. Lead end-to end data lifecycle management activities and offer guidance.
Engage with business stakeholders to understand analytics requirements and translate them into data architecture solutions.
Investigate emerging technologies and advise on their adoption on the data domain. Lead & participate in proof-of-concept projects and other projects that are in early use of new technologies.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data and analytics architectures, standards, and guidelines
Establish and enforce data governance principles, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations, security standards, and best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with architectural standards and facilitate effective communication.
Collaborate with business leaders, data scientists, and IT teams to understand data requirements and formulate an architecture that enables efficient and effective analytics
Lead initiatives related or with heavy dependence on data.
Partner with business and technology to develop and implement long-term strategic roadmaps as well as short-term tactical solutions that move us toward our long-term goalsre
At least 7 years’ experience in Technology within the data domain.
5 years’ experience in the following areas of focus: data quality management, reference data management, master data management, data enrichment and analytics, metadata management, integrations and service standards, data lakes and governance (architectural and technical).
Proven experience as an Data Architect, with a focus / preferably in Data & Analytics in the financial services sector.
Deep experience in Database Design, Data Maintenance, Database Security, Database Management, Requirements Analysis, Teamwork, Project Management, Modeling and Presenting Technical Information, Training, Operating Systems.
Experience in Master Data Management.
Experience with streaming and messaging systems, technologies and developing transactional and analytical systems.
Knowledge of system architecture, normalization considerations and in intersystem communication strategies, including ETLs, ESB and web services.
Analytically minded, critical thinker, problem-solver a must with meticulous attention to detail.
In-depth understanding of database structure principles, experienced in gathering and analyzing system requirements, knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques.
Experience with enterprise data management technologies, including database platforms, ETL tools, visualization techniques & tools and SQL.
Extensive knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, business intelligence, and analytics technologies.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to data privacy and security in the financial industry.
Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Relevant certifications in enterprise architecture, data management, or analytics are a plus.

Ability to perform impact analysis of new and proposed architectures in relation to the current landscape and available technologies utilized in the IT environment
Must have a strong and proven software development background
Applies discretion and independent judgment to identify when deviation from standard practice is required / imminent.
Experience with microservices architecture
Past experience on creation and usage of Architecture Principles, Standards and Guidelines for decision making for on/around solutions
Participation in key projects as a lead architect
Hands on experience in SDLC processes & agile based development methodology
Ability to conceptualize, formulate, and present complex business demands / requirements via comprehensible models and templates
