QA Lead/Test Manager

  • Lagos, Lagos

Our client in the financial sector is hiring QA Lead/Test Manager
Engagement type: Contract
Work mode: fully onsite

Role Purpose

Owns end-to-end execution of System Integration Testing (SIT) for the UBA Mobile Banking App and holds broader quality-oversight responsibility across the full programme, including phases executed by other teams and partner organisations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Master Test Strategy and keep it current as programme understanding evolves.

  • Chair daily defect triage; own defect severity and root-cause classification discipline.

  • Maintain full traceability from source requirement through test case to defect resolution.

  • Deliver weekly status reporting with RAG status and top risks to the CTO and Product Owner.

  • Lead formal sign-off against Exit Criteria before User Acceptance Testing (UAT) begins.

  • Lead UAT execution across business participants from partner organisations, via a dedicated UAT Coordinator.

  • Provide quality oversight of programme phases outside direct execution — customer experience review, migration, performance/load testing, security penetration testing, compliance checks, environment stabilisation, and go-live.

  • Own selection and ongoing validation of vendor-sourced specialist roles (security, architecture and code review, performance, DevSecOps).

  • Chair a weekly cross-phase coordination sync with all phase owners.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven track record leading QA/test management for digital banking, fintech, or large-scale financial-services platforms.

  • Experience with concurrent/continuous testing models — testing alongside active development, not gated behind a code-freeze milestone.

  • Demonstrated ability to own both hands-on execution and cross-team quality oversight simultaneously.

  • Experience managing vendor/contractor relationships for specialist technical roles.

Required Skills & Tools

Test management, banking/fintech domain knowledge, stakeholder communication, defect-tracking tooling administration (e.g. Jira), release governance.
