Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Quality Assurance Tester with experience in testing core banking systems, specifically BANKS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the functionality, security, and performance of the banking system while working closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing on the BANKS core banking platform.
  • Review and analyze system requirements, business rules, and technical specifications to develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Execute manual and automated test cases to identify bugs and performance issues, ensuring the system meets business and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with developers and business analysts to ensure defects are identified, logged, and resolved promptly.
  • Perform API testing, database validation, and backend system checks to ensure data integrity and process accuracy.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support system upgrades, patch deployments, and new feature releases.
  • Ensure banking compliance and security standards are adhered to in the testing process.
  • Provide detailed test reports, defect analysis, and recommendations for process improvement.
  • Support end-users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide training where necessary.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in software testing within the banking/financial sector.
  • Hands-on experience testing BANKS Core Banking System or other core banking applications.
  • Strong knowledge of functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing methodologies.
  • Experience with SQL queries for database validation and backend testing.
  • Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or RestAssured.
  • Understanding of banking operations, payment processing, and financial workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in ISTQB, CSTE, or relevant QA certifications is preferred.
  • Understanding of banking regulations, compliance, and cybersecurity best practices.
