Technical Sales Representative

  • Close and grow sales through professional communication with existing and potential clients
  • Manage and interpret customer requirements – speaking with clients to understand, anticipate and meet their needs.
  • Assess competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends; identifying sales opportunities.
  • Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations.
  • Closes new accounts by answering telephone, fax, and e-mail inquiries; verifying and entering information.
  • Identify and resolve client concerns; recommending a course of action to alleviate these concerns in the Future.
  • Develops accounts by checking customer's buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features.
  • Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in educational opportunities
  • Work with the QA team to ensure customer project requirements are met
  • Maintaining records of customer communications and contact information as required
  • Making technical presentations, webinars
  • Preparing responses to RFP (request for proposals) and RFI (request for information)
  • Attending and participating in conferences and other marketing events
  • Maintain awareness of pertinent client information, future plans, payment performance; communicate any client information that may affect company decisions to appropriate departments as needed
  • Researches market requirements and market data
  • Maintains current Company product knowledge.
  • Submit a variety of sales status reports as required, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals
  • Submit quarterly customer visit plans; schedule client meetings and action plans for follow-up
  • Send legal documents to customers and send signed copies for filing
  • Responsible for setting the customer’s expectations
Knowledge and Technical Requirements
  • Technical background preferred
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree
  • Working knowledge of the design tools and price calculations
  • Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques
  • Valid driver license
  • Three to Five years of proven sales or marketing experience
  • Exposure to and strong understanding of software development concepts, life-cycle and methodologies
  • Prior experience marketing IT services to the following sectors - banking, Telcos, healthcare, and insurance
  • Ability to Willing and able to travel locally, regionally and internationally.
