Job Summary: The USSD Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining USSD applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile telecommunications, programming, and system integration. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain USSD applications to support various business needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
  • Integrate USSD applications with backend systems and databases.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in mobile communications and USSD.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a USSD Developer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, PHP, or C#.
  • Experience with USSD Gateway platforms and protocols.
  • Strong understanding of mobile network technologies and architectures.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with mobile payment systems and integration.
  • Knowledge of GSM, CDMA, and LTE technologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
